Indonesia Kerinci – Filter Roast

Bridging the gap between the really simple easy drinking Brazil Diamond Filter and the more complex and wild coffees from East Africa, here’s a beauty from Sumatra, Indonesia. It has everything we look for in an everyday filter coffee but also offers enough layers of flavor to go deeper.

Expect a sweet cup with flavor notes of red apple, allspice, mixed peel and prune combined with a syrupy body.

OUR PREFERRED EXTRACTION (AeroPress): 17g Coffee (medium grind) – 270g Water (at 100°C) – Regular Method. Bloom with 30g of water for 45sec, then add the remaining water in one go, stir gently and ‘close’ the AeroPress with the plunger to prevent water dripping through. Steep until 2min 30sec and press the coffee through in approx. 30sec.
